i dont think this should be voted on yet, or voted on at all. i've had bad experiences with predicting races and getting c.o.c.k.y so lets not try to make assumptions just yet.

So is this like combined scores of boys and girls? Or how about a 58 person relay - which team would win that?

You can't vote for both, but on the girls side, NC looks hard to beat. Right now they are #1 in 11 of the 18 events, and that's with Katie Hursey yet to run the 3200 (she ran 11:00 last year and is the defending state champin the 1600 and 3200). If they stay healthy, it will take a great day from another team to compete with them - but that's my opinion.
Be interesting to see if they can make a run at Linganore - but they are really good.

I think after NC, there is potential for a very tight meet. Each team has strong athletes, and I could see it being very tight. I think it will be very exciting.

i think liberty will be a lot stronger when we start kickin off the ground. we've been a little loose at meets, but the invites will be well anticipated by some. though, the same hold true to other schools, so i would say my opinion is not legit concerning the facts until stronger evidence is created.

to put nicks words simpler " we'll see" which is what i said earlier. for girls, i will however make a statement. NC wins hands down, as said before.

We will definitely see for the boys. I think its going to be even closer than it was last year. It will surely be a very exciting meet.

No offense, but I think it would be pretty hard to be any closer then it was last year. We (Liberty) were leading by 1/2 point going into the last event over Winters Mill, and we lost by 1/2 step in the 4x4 to Winters Mill to lose. CAn't really get any closer then that.

I meant going in. There were 5 teams; Century, Liberty, FSK, Winters Mill and North Carroll; that had a chance to win it.
I do remember that race...that was an awesome meet last year.

Last year two teams really were ahead of everybody else - they were over 10 points ahead of the rest of the teams (meaning they could have not run the 4x4s and still come in 1st and 2nd).
Not sure it will be so close this year. Of those two teams from last year, one graduated a lot, the other seemed to have only gotten better. And that one won the indoor championships by 26 points.
FSK having indoor track has definitely helped their chances though. They could be the 2nd best team in the county now, and have the studs to pull off the upset. NC has some talent too, but they will have to step it up as I am sure they will.

It sure seems to be a 3 team "race" for the county title for guys now with FSK, Westminster and Liberty. I wouldn't count out NC, but they just don't have any distance. Will Issa Connell be running at counties? I didn't see him at MVALs.
FSK has yet to lose this year, while Liberty ran without Nick Hruch and Brad Williams only did 2 events but still were within 1 of FSK at conferences (didn't Liberty lose to FSK at xc conferences??) But my upset pick is that WEstminster will win it (upset pick -maybe not). Rob Kelvey is coming on strong - now the top 2 miler again ready to defend his title. No john lopez at conferences, but if he runs at counties he is the best hurdler - HH & IH - hands down. Sisler is smokin right now, and the only person he may not be able to beat in that 800 may be Hruch. Westminster's sprint relays have also closed the gap on the FSK sprint relays. Westminster lost the county title for the first time in a long time last year - but I think they will bring it home next week again.
I'm assuming Welsh will be back again next week, and that should help FSK a great deal - but thats still only going to improve their score by 16 points max - Hruch coming back for Liberty could improve their score even more.
County guys missing some talent though at conferences - Issa Connell, Jared Welsh, Nick Hruch, John Lopez, Brad Williams. Who will be back and who won't could be a huge factor.
