Whose track seasons do you think really has bolstered their spot in cross country?
I think with Jake Zamostny running for SC, he will be a big factor for them. Only a freshman last year, I think he will surprise some people.
Also think Pat Wachter for Century has improved a lot and could be much improved in cross country also.

FSK returns everybody from their varsity team. They will be tough to beat. The eagles may win their first county title and break Liberty's string of state titles.

Hard to make predictions now...its just the beginning of the season. A lot depends on how much work everyone is willing to put in during the summer. There should be some good surprises though.

It's never too early to make predictions, thats the whole point of predictions. You don't have all the data so you make your best guess with whatever you do know.
Besides, seems the question was who improved the most during the track seasons that will likely show up in xc. Sure some will get better with the summer season too, but that's one that will be answered later.

i dont like to talk up my team but i wouldnt count out westminster this year. if pherman returns we'll have a very strong top 3 and we've had 4 or 5 guys fighting for 6th and 7th all last year. it mostly comes down to summer running. whos got the dedication to get out there.
as for who i think is most improved: -jake from sc, sorry i cant spell his last name, will be a great part of their team.
-north carroll had some 2 mile guys this year that have braught their times down nicely.
-wachter from century has definitally shown that he's a great runner.
-liberty has a medly of new comers that could be the heart of their team in the future.
-i wont say names, mostly because i dont know for sure, but westminster has had some very hard working freshman this year that could step it up
-and for any team, middle schoolers coming up could be big. i know for a fact of an 8th grader that won the 3k at the county play day that will be going to century.

Who is pherman?
And who is this incoming freshman?
No offense, but there was a big dropoff for Westminster after number 5. Just because you had a slew fighting for #6 or 7 on your team doesn't mean much. Didn't Liberty have 3 JV kids beat your #7 at counties?
Who is Winters Mill #1 runner now? Did anybody else not lose any varsity runners besides FSK? SC?
What about Hruch? Can he become a good cross country runner and help them with the loss of their #1 runner?

Hruch can become a good cross country runner. Good enough to be top 10 at counties? Probably not. But any kid who can run a 4:45 mile shouldn't be counted out in XC.

And the freshman going to Century is Bradley Ratliff.

chris mcdaniels
this freshman i have no clue who he is but he's supposed to be decent.
and i understand you dont " mean to offend" but you sure had a good job there of doing it. there was no huge drop off. our #4 and #5 guys were relatively close to being where our upper guys were last year. idk about liberty's JV or anything, but i know we will definitally have an ok team. not as good as last year but its nothing im going to complain about for my senior year.

Yeah, I saw that race. Didn't he beat Sisler by like 10 seconds or something. Not the best day to run either.

Still think FSK is the team to beat though. Liberty and Westminster graduated their best runners, FSK best runners got better.

Jake...I think he means the mile with Nick. It was that tri-meet when us and Liberty were at your school.
