Whose track seasons do you think really has bolstered their spot in cross country? I think with Jake Zamostny running for SC, he will be a big factor for them. Only a freshman last year, I think he will surprise some people. Also think Pat Wachter for Century has improved a lot and could be much improved in cross country also. Dustin Mathers from NC had a great outdoor track season, and hopefully he will keep improving. He was a freshman last year and ran a 4:49 in the mile and 10:35 in the 3200..

It seems like most coaches are coming back. The Liberty coaches are back, the Winters Mill coaches are back, Coach Pennington is back, I am pretty sure Coach Cox is back, as far as I know Coach Repolge is back.

Coach Repsher from Westminster is not coaching, but his assistant Mr. Waranowski is returning.

We were told she wasn't. Maybe i'm wrong. I'm just going off what i was told and Coach Stickles passed out the info packets and has been calling everyone to check up on their running.

This kind of turned into a predictions thread. I'll predict the team placings.
FSK Liberty South Carroll Westminster Century North Carroll Winters Mill
Nobody can stick with FSK, clearly. Barring mass injury or a few miracles out of Liberty, they've got the win, in my eyes.
As for Liberty, through strong coaching they've been able to work the same every year. Start out decent, get better and better as the season progresses and hit the races hard where it counts. I'd like to think it were possible they could take Key, but it just might not be in the cards this year.
Next...South Carroll. All I can say is, I bet your alumnni are proud of you guys. I know of Bobby Mead, he was sort of rivals with Kevin Pool, and he led a very strong team for awhile there. After the past few seasons, SC has been counted out time and time again. Good work over the summer to come back, but I put them behind Liberty because of Liberty's end of the year finishes. And the fact that they've been running well without Liberatore.
Westminster. Well, they're Wesminster. Its been an interesting past ten years. Winning the County, not to mention state championship from 96-99 is pretty impressive. Its been a roller coaster since then for the most part, but we've managed to do fairly well in the county each year. Recently we haven't been so hot at the end of the year. I certainly hope that trend doesn't continue, but the other teams may just be stronger. Jake has been running really well all season, and Dulaney has finally pulled himself together after some troubling issues stemming in indoor track. The same can be said for McDaniels, who has been eradicated from people's radars. He ran really well at Liberty and I think we've got him motivated to continue. Still, I don't know if the Owls have what it takes to beat Liberty or South Carroll.
The rest-I honestly don't know anything. Sorry for not paying as much attention as I could have.
And thats all for my predictions of the county meet.

Hruch can become a good cross country runner. Good enough to be top 10 at counties? Probably not. Well, that's exactly what he did today...#10 in County's! Way to go Nick!

not bad, especially given he was sick and didn't even do the full run yesterday.

and to make myself feel better...I will bring up this.... We will definitely see for the boys. I think its going to be even closer than it was last year. It will surely be a very exciting meet. No offense, but I think it would be pretty hard to be any closer then it was last year. We (Liberty) were leading by 1/2 point going into the last event over Winters Mill, and we lost by 1/2 step in the 4x4 to Winters Mill to lose. CAn't really get any closer then that. FSK and Westminster tie. haha I'm good. but really...good luck to everyone at Regionals, I hope to be able to skip out of college for the state meet.
