It can get cold running in the rain, but thats ok considering how hot its been lately.

I think he means when its raining in the winter, and you have to run outside during practice.

true i know during track season we definetly didn't get in the weight room enough, but to the same token you can't over lift or muscles won't recover

You also might bulk up too much which could cause you problems while running, but would be great for throwers.
