Who do you think has improved the most in Carroll County CC since last year?
I vote for Doug Findeisen from South Carroll.
At the Counties last year, he was 28th in the JV race. 46 varsity guys had better times than he did which technically put him at 74th in the county.
He is currently ranked 11th in the county according to spongebob's rankings. WOW!!

I would vote Doug!
Another big improvement (from Liberty) - Shannon Henretty is running faster splits per mile now then her Mile PR was last year in track at one time. Her 1st mile at NC (which wasn't too fast for her now) was only about 15 seconds from her 1600 PR in track at the end of the season last year.
Rachel Sykes from SC also has had a huge improvement.

I didn't run XC last year, but I can honestly say that Doug has worked his butt off, and is probably the most improved runner. He ran a million miles this summer and is right up there with the best in the county. His improvement has really turned our team around.

I would also vote Doug, he's had a great improvement from the 24(i think) he was running most of last year.

Yes Doug is a great example at what summer running can do for you. I know without a doubt that alot of schools are now going to go out during the summer and practice. I wouldnt of went running during the summer if it wasnt for others on my team but this is also great motivation to know you can drop a couple minutes off your time like Doug did.

I also agree that doug is probablly the most improved guy runner. He put a lot of hard work and effort into this season and it is paying off.
As for the most improved girl, since I don't really know about anyone other then on our team, I'll have to go with Rachel Sykes.

I guess this would go with "Most Improved" - now that the "regular season" is over, and we head into championship season, I went through the rankings, and looked at who had the biggest gains this season.
I first broke the season down into 2-week intervals. Here are the top 3 gains for each 2-week interval:
Girls:
Weeks 1 & 2 1)Rachel Sykes, South Carroll 42 points 2)Anna Weaver, South Carroll 28 points 3)Katie Hursey, North Carroll 19 points
Weeks 3 & 4 1)Catherine Robinson, South Carroll 60 points 2)Michele Lambert, Liberty 40 points 3)Anna Weaver, South Carroll 34 points
Weeks 5 & 6 1)Michele Lambert, Liberty 20 points 2)Taylor Bielski, Century 16 points Lisa Robbins, Liberty 16 points
Overall 1)Catherine Robinson, South Carroll 78 points 2)Rachel Sykes, South Carroll 73 points 3)Michele Lambert, Liberty 64 points
Boys
Weeks 1 & 2 1)Doug Findeison, South Carroll 46 points 2)CJ Naper, South Carroll 43 points 3)Jake Zamostny, South Carroll 37 points
Week 3 & 4 1)Doug Findeison, South Carroll 47 points 2)Colin Fearns, FSK 38 points Jake Zomsostny, South Carroll 38 points
Weeks 5 & 6 1)Tim Souders, Liberty 21 points 2)Dustin Mathers, North Carroll 19 points 3)Robert Pagels, North Carroll 14 points
