1a West Regional Championships Meet Most Valuable Runner
Boys - Grant Dell from North Carroll: Grant was the runner-up finisher in 1a West and will now head to states. The west region is usually one of the stronger regions, so we look forward to what Grant will do at States.
Girls - Hannah Boudreau from North Carroll: Hannah placed 8th, earning her first trip to the state championships as an individual qualifier. She also earned 21 points in the rankings and moved up 5 spots!
Honorable Mention: Abby Culp (Manchester Valley)

2a West Regional Championships Meet Most Valuable Runner
Boys - Chase Hopkins from Winters Mill: Chase has been making a steady climb up the rankings in the second half of the season. The sophomore earned 13 points in the rankings, and more importantly earned an individual qualifying spot for states.
Girls - Emily Kachik from Century: Emily only joined the rankings late in the season, and is coming on strong to boast the Knights. She led the county with 20 rankings points and helped Century to a runner-up finish at the regional championships
Honorable Mention: John Mead(Century) and Caroline McNary (Liberty)

State Championships Meet Most Valuable Runner
Boys - John Mead from Century: John has arguably had the best championship season of any runner in the county. He gained points in the rankings in each of the championship meets, earning at least 7 points in each meet. At states he earned his most points with 10 helping the Knights to the top finish for a county school
Girls - Kathleen Kaste from Liberty: Kathleen maxed out on possible points gained in a meet at the state championships as she beat 8 runners that were ranked ahead of her in the rankings.
Honorable Mention: Tyler Pollard (Liberty) and Emily Kachik (Century)
