FSK: The Best Carroll County Team Ever?

By the way, I wouldn't consider that the best Westminster team ever, but that's just me. Hey, I beat Jesse my last race against him, but there was guys at Westminster I never beat. (Mike Recek being one)

Those were the best states results I could find, but then again, I didn't look that hard.

There were stronger teams from Westminster back in the mid and late 80's that I don't have times or scores for, but feel pretty comfortable stating they were better than any team we've seen in the county since. I am almost certain they scored a perfect 15 when I was in HS 20 years ago, but again, I don't have exact scores to back that up. I do believe they would at least be competitive face-to-face, if not beat FSK outright.

I don't think there really is a way to say with any confidence that this year's FSK squad was the best Carroll team ever. There have been some awesome teams over the years, many before this year's runners were even born. But they certainly were very good. Congrats to those guys for stayoing strong all year and keeping that State title in Carroll for yet another year.

yeah thanks to everyone who contributed info...i had a feeling that westminster's past teams might have been better and this just confirms it...I would say Key might be able to be ranked in the top 5 teams in carroll's history, but maybe not, sounds like westminster had some real good teams.

Yeah, I could see them being maybe the 4th or 5th best team, but definately top 10 in my opinion. They were truly amazing this year!

Throughout this year, I thought FSK looked a lot like the liberty team my senior year, but the could be just me... yet I still don't think we would be any match for some of those westminster teams and south carroll with mead and adami... just a thought
