Love it or hate it, the biggest invite of the year is only 6 days away. I've heard that there is a possiblity that a few of the elite schools will drop out, leaving only 5 or 6 behind. In this case, the other elite schools will have to move to divisions. Can anyone confirm this?

Sorry, I did know the answer to this, but skipped over the question. They are NOT eliminating the elite boys race. A team added. They are going to discuss the idea of the elite race at the morning coaches meeting.

Coach Spongebob is there a homepage for Bull Run? I know of a bunch of us alumni that are planning on doing the alumni race but don't know when it starts.
i know that rob kelvey, josh vana, brendan dulaney, chris mcdaniels, and myself are planning on running it.
also danny mulhern, 07 grad from urbana, is gonna be racing along side me to help represent TerpRunners from UMD!!

That link I put up there also has the schedule (the alumni race is at 12:30). I guess that is as close to a "homepage" as they have right now. They usually have a site up after the meet with results.

Well I guess that's good news that there will be an elite race. It's not very likely we'll win anyways, but whatever. And Sisler, it'll be good to see you, Kelvey, Dulaney, Vana, and Pherman there.

What do you guys plan on running the course in? Maybe we can run it together. Although I'm not sure how fast we are going to go seeing Daveed hasn't run since last year, Stephen said he is really out of shape, and I have a race the day before.

Great job to all the county athletes who ran in the small schools races - it was pretty competitive and there was a good representation of the county in the top 15 of each. Nice job to Winters Mill, but it was 105 Key to 138 WM for 2-3, not exactly right behind them. That being said, SC was again far behind, so great job to you all for placing that high. I do want to say that Rachel Sykes got cheated out of the top 10, and 2nd place for that matter. She made a tremendous effort and came away with a top 15 finish despite running an extra 200 some meters. Also, why was Century in the small schools race?

Because Century is a small school. It's about the same size as Liberty and FSK.

Still with century's girls team being good wouldn't it have made more since to put them in the elite race (better competition).

Their team is real young so putting that type of pressure on them would not have been a good idea.

I don't think it would put that much pressure on them. Plus it would have been a good experience for them.
