States Recap

Great job to everybody that raced at States. I had a great time talking to coaches and athletes. I especially enjoyed talking to the Century girls after their 2nd place finish. What a great group of girls, so excited and seem to have so much fun.

Congrats to the SC girls winning their first state title! You girls did awesome.

2nd Place finishes from FSK boys, Century girls and SC boys - wow, has to be the best team finishes for Carroll ever.

And honestly a lot to look forward to for years to come. Carroll County, a very small county with only 7 teams, but certainly made their mark at the state championships. You all ran with a lot of fire, and showed a lot of team spirit.

Good luck to those racing at Foot Locker. I will see you all during the indoor season. Hopefully we can continue to show how strong Carroll County has become!

thank you and i think carroll definatley had a great day. wow, i thought wildlake would win thier race but bethesda came out. yeah this year was the most competitive year ever, and i loved it!!! congrats to all xc runners in MD especially River HIll, even though you beat us we thought you guys had it all along way to go!!

I am working on it now. I want to get it done today (I have to do Frederick and Carroll County) since track starts on Thursday, and I still have to plan a few things out for that. But I think I should have it done in time. That is next on my agenda!

Great stuff, here. I think that the South Carroll guys have proved that they are better than what they showed at Counties and will be a contender in the future. Everyone ran great in general though.
