The polls only allow a certain amount of contestant (so to speak). I thought that you could have as many as you liked.

I think its that way for most pokemon, you only want the evolved form.

no way, i would never evolve my pidgey, i'd level him up to 100, then people would think that they could defeat him easily but i would just own them. plus i think that the pokemon learn moves faster when they dont evolve, but sometimes they then cant learn some moves until they evolve into a "supposively" better form

scyther is the coolest (squirtle is close behind) but he is so hard to catch
i havent caught one yet
