I'm gonna say that the 800 is going to be one of the most exciting 800s this county has ever seen. Off the top of my head I can list Hruch, Liberatore, Dawson, Sisler and Wachter who have had open times under 2:06 in the past year. And 3 guys Hruch, Liberatore and myself (Dawson) who have been at 2:01 or better.
The mile should also be awesome. I would guess that 6th place in our county will for sure be below 4:45 and maybe below 4:40. With Lib, Welsh, Leathers, Sisler, Dulaney, Zamostny and myself it could be an awesome race.
The 4x800 could be awesome too. Liberty crushed states last year and could consitently run 3:58 from Nick and Eric which means they would only need 2 2:11 guys to go 8:20. Also, Westminster will have both Dulaney and Sisler running strong legs. Century could put up an impressive time with Dawson around 2 flat, Wachter about 2:05 and Hughes, Hohl and Zynda each running in the 2:08 range. That also comes out to low 8:20s.

Only 3:58?!?
Dulaney doesn't usually run the 1600 indoors. Leathers and Welsh didn't run the 1600 at regionals indoors last year.

Don't forget about jordan white, colin fearns, zach holtz, and shane craig for key, they have all stepped it up in XC this year and hopefully will do the same in indoor...they need to make a 4x3200 relay lol, but that wouldn't be too spectator friendly haha

1. I'm not forgetting anyone. There are a ton of guys who could make impacts, but i went off of track last year cause its a totally different sport then xc. 2. I said 3:58 cause anything lower, in December, at Hagerstown would be crazy. By states they should be well below 3:55 together. 3. Anybody have county meet predictions and times?

well as usual we've only talked about distance events so im gonna go out on a limb and try to include some shorter distances.
for the 55 or w/e dash im not sure but would guess that issa connell will do well.
events like the 300 and 500 should include names like becker from NC and tom martz from wm
uhhhh......hurdles should be dominated by westminsters john lopez coming of 2nd and 3rd place finishes in the 110 and 300 hurdles respectively at states.
HJ should be hruch's domain on top of a large group or approx 6' jumpers.
shot and disc i think will include josh cole from fsk and some of those NC boys. maybe a WM name or two.
in the 800 i think it'll be a tight race depending on how much effort if given into the indoor season. obviously the lime light comes in its spring counterpart. all those names, hurch, liberatore, sisler, wachter, dawson, etc etc etc could do well in the transition from xc to the shorter distances once some speed workouts are done.
umm mile. yea thats pretty much open in my eyes as of now. unlike sponge stated dulaney should be running the 1600 ( 4:45 last year) liberatore, and those fsk boys( who knows how many) should all be in the mix. oh yea me too, haha.
as for the 3200 i think that'll be dominated by the long distance stars welsh and leathers. as for after them it could be anyone really. between indoor and outdoor last year the names shifted around a lot. its a hard race and it'll depend on who feels like doing 16 laps.
relays.......i dont feel like going over them. ahhh i'd have to say that century should place high in the 4 x 8 as well as liberty. westminster needs to continue improving with sisler dulaney cortez and (unkown) person. dont count out sc of course, those guys dont like to be downed.
idk about the other relays nor do i care.
thats all i have to say. dont like it , tough.
good luck to everyone and stay healthy as hard as that may be for some people.

the 300 is Connell's territory too.
Hruch in the 300 or 500. He does split a 50 flat in the 400, hmm
I'll have to admit (motivational stuff I'm about to say to everybody), but I don't see why we think the 800 will be so exciting. I think the 1600 is more exciting right now. Only one person has broken 2 in the 800, and i hope we have more, but until someone does it we (Carroll) have some work to do. I do know that Hruch and Liberatore want to break 2 indoors. Have to find out what the real county record is for the 4x8 and 800.
And what 6 foot jumpers do we have in the county. I can't seem to find them...

Last year's top performances at High Jump:
Nick Hruch Liberty 6'07" 4/19/06 Erik Adami NC 6'02" 5/10/06 Bryan Wisner NC 5'10" 5/10/06 Ryan Raper SC 5'10" 4/29/06 Kyle Hagy Liberty 5'08" 4/29/06 Eric Christenson Westminster 5'08" 5/10/06
Raper, Hagy and Christenson all graduated. Adami tends to get distracted indoors with pole vault and doesn't do high jump nearly as well. He also wasn't very consistent at clearing 6 feet.

I know that Chris Antol from Liberty could place pretty high in the state and possibly give Adami a run for his money at the county meet in pole vault. I went to PV camp with Chris and I think he skimmed 13' a couple times, but was consistently clearing 12' 6"...can't recall exactly around where Adami jumps, but I don't think he's gone higher then 13', so there should be some fun to watch there.

that depends if Chris McDaniels jumps, he was one of the people county wise that could consistantly top me, although I only competed against him for 2 meets, if he has improved at his current pace he should be up near 12'6"-13' as well
