All, Please read this article on the link below. While it talks about Frederick County, Carroll County is in a similiar situation with the budget. I encourage you to make your voices heard in the coming months if you want to see indoor track & field to remain. www.tristaterunnur.com/art21.html

An email I got today: Dear Coach Ward, My name is Jacob Baugher, I am a sprinter and captain on the Westminster Indoor Track Team. One of your runners,Zach Gorsuch had the idea to make T-shirts for the cause. I contacted the company who makes our sweats every year and they said that they would be happy to make the shirts. they also said that they would sell the shirts to us at about 5$, which would just cover the cost of production, they wouldn't be making any money. So the design we came up with is simple: it says "Save Carroll County Indoor Track & Field" on the front and on the back it says "United We Stand" and then it would have a list of all the county schools. The shirts are black with white Text. Your athlete Zach said that you couldn't give out the other coaches email and to contact you with this information. The shirts can be done about three days after we get all of the order forms in. Mr. Fisher (the man who we get our sweats from) also said that I could collect all of the money at counties on the 23rd and hand it off to him on Sunday or Monday. Personally I think the shirts are a great idea and if you could forward this email to the other county coaches it would be much appreciated. The sooner I get confirmation that all the teams are on board the sooner we can send out the order forms and the sooner we can get the shirts. Also, I don't think the shirts should be limited to just athletes. Parents, other teachers, and other members of the community should also be able to buy them. Email me if you have any questions. Sincerely , Jacob Baugher Form: www.carrollcountyrunning.com/SaveIndoorTrackAndFieldShirtOrderForm.doc

Ok fellow Carroll County folks - here's the REALLY important part. Please complete either the parent/adult or student survey so we can tell the Board of Ed what we are willing to do to keep our sports in our schools! Visit www.libertyathletics.com and follow the SOS link to complete one of the 2 BRIEF surveys! Thanks
