Team scores at bottom of page look hosed for Piedmont results. Frederick??? Didn't give WM boys much credit for their great efforts.

the Piedmont meet seemed like it would never end. Is there any reason why so many JV events were held? I suspect this is because Middletown hosts the meet and the boys team is so huge. I know Coach Boyer likes to develop his program, but when 80% of all JV athletes are from one school it seems a bit one-sided. There was even a call for JV Pole Vault!
It was very strange to see JV 4x800 teams running in the same race as varsity teams. Surprised coaches went for that, especially if a JV athlete would interfered with a varsity team.
Strangest thing was a photographer went out to the finish line after the boys 55 dash and he was showing the runners his pictures of the finish, while the officials were trying to sort the order out themselves! That could be embarrassing if the officials called the results one way and the photos showed something different. I think one of the officials asked him to stop.
What time did everyone get home? Would have been a long bus ride for Winters Mill, Century and Liberty.

That was me! If you know the whole story,I was asking him if he got the time he wanted.and the photo was still on the screen.and they already had the times sorted out.there wasn't no doubt about the finish

I don't think the meet was that long. The B 4x400 started at 10:30, which is 4.5 hours into the meet. That is not a long meet. It was just a late start time (6:00 pm) that made the problem. Furthermore, I love the JV races, and Coach Boyer had canceled the B 4x400 but the coaches wanted to have it. We left but looking back we probably could have run them (we had to wait for the awards, and by the time I got them the 4x400s were ending).
I am all for JV events at MVALs. There is so few opportunties for them to compete, I am glad he does that. 4.5 hours for a meet isn't bad at all, just wish we didn't always have to get the late start time in the Piedmont.

any update on the condition of the SHagerstown girl? She wasn't in good shape while waiting for the ambulance to arrive at the end of the meet.
