Why is Jim Kelly put in as 2:00 in the 800 and 4:30 in the mile he has not even been close to those times all year.

If I was a coach I would like for regionals to be seeded the same way as states, based on performance; however, if they refuse to do that they are inviting inflated times, so I would lie to get my runners into faster heats.

Yes, I would like for it to be regulated, but if it was not I would lie in some cases. For example, if I had a 2:06 guy who would be bumped to a slower heat I would enter 2:04 to get him in the fast heat. So many other coaches do it that I am not going to put my athlete at a disadvantage. It seems like coaches can't afford to have any integrity when they enter seed times or they risk injustice.

His official time when he stopped was 10:34 (so even though he stopped he ran 10:34, he stopped for approximately 5 seconds, so he was probably under 10:30 somewhere). You say Leathers would run all 3 - do you run for FSK or just guessing. Because I would be surprised if he ran all 3 - seems like a lot of racing and I would expect he would focus on 1 or 2 to go for a state title. no dont run for FSK but im pretty sure...well i dont know. because the only thing he will really need to rpepared for and not get tired is the 3200. the next person on the list ran a 10:22(performance list, not seed time). i was worried about tim souders because im ahead of him on the performance list and i just wanted to know if he could go sub10:30 so that i could hang with hem and go to states.

i wondering if any of you guys think that in the 3200 leathers and greene and souders will being running for place instead of time. like taking it easy and running hard the last mile for place...

I don't think you can afford to do that at this meet. Plus, if I am not mistaken, Leathers, White and Greene all don't have any events after the 3200, so what would they be saving it for?
I imagine there will be some PRs run in that race. The 1600, that might be a little more interestiing, but we will see.

ohh yeah i forgot the 3200 was after everything. i dont think there will be any PRs...everyone is going to worn out. thats what happened at the peidmont conference meet. but thats good...i was hoping they werent going to do that.

I would be surprised if there is no PRs. It's the regional championships. I imagine the top 3 or 4 under 10:20.
