The injection of Clarksburg and Northwood really mix things up this year. Looks like these two schools may have top performances in 8 of the 13 events - from the 800 on down, plus SP. Avery Graham looks like "da man", going 6.67 FAT in the 55 and then putting the shot over 50 feet. Fast and strong.
I'm sure Coach Boyer of Middletown has been up late at night figuring out how to squeeze points out of each event. His team will still be tough, especially when they should start out with 18 points from pole vault.
Not certain who Clarksburg and Northwood hurt the most - Middletown or Winters Mill.
CoachSpongeBob, will you be posting a performance list for this meet anytime soon?
What's everyone else's predictions? Will the "invaders" from Clarksburg have enough to win?
Let's hear it.

I do have a performance list going, but I am still waiting to get PG county results. At least 3 of the 4 PG county schools will have an effect on the boys scores, and will make it a very interesting meet.

So here is what I was able to come up with for the Top Performances for the 2a West Athletes. A few things before you look at this. You will notice a few things about this. First, I only included the top 2 from each team (for the most part) since only two athletes from each team can compete. There are a couple instances where I knew times/marks were incorrect and I had fixed it (for instance, Eric Tringali of Winters Mill was listed at the MVAL Conference meet as running a 10:46 - but he didn't run this time, he was not 12 seconds behind Tim Souders - more like 1 second behind Tim. I knew Tim ran a 10:34, so I listed Eric as a 10:35). You may wonder why some names are in bold. The ones listed in bold were kids that did not compete at their championship meet in that event. The last column named "Last Seed" was what seed time was listed for that athlete at the last meet. It is NOT an actual time they performed, just whatever time they were listed as for a performance. In some cases this is meaningless, but for a team that I may not have many performances from, this may (or may not) be an indication of a time they had run earlier in the season. In most cases this is not the case (for instance, if you see the PG county teams 800 seed times for boys, many are below 2:10, but their actual times were above 2:20 - I doubt they can run sub 2:10) I may have missed things, I hope I didn't, I did the best I could. It was actually a pretty big project. Some meets I put in actually weren't on the Running Maryland database (Mountain Express for instance) but I had results from, so I went through the results one by one to add those athletes in. Here it is, enjoy: www.carrollcountyrunning.com/Rankings/2aWestIndoorPerformanceList2008.htm

The entry deadline has already passed.
What athletes won't be running in events? Anybody running in events that they haven't run all year (or aren't on this list)?

noo im just saying that some people are on the performance list firs both the 1600 and 3200, and i know and am pretty sure of a few guys that will only run the 3200. when i look at the performance list i am just checking to find guys i should be able to stick with to get a better time.from middletown...at frederick county championship jimmy greene didnt run the mile but ran the 2 mile instead to be fresh. jimmy greene would also probably be in the top 4 in the mile. from walkersville...probably noone is going to qualify in the mile. their top guy runs a 4:55 and their second guy didnt run the mile the last 2 meets but he runs a 4:58. i think they decided not to run him one meet and his 3200 time went down 10 seconds and they did it again and it went down 18 seconds. and hes only 1 second away from qualifying for states.

What events are you running - I assume you're from Walkersville and you run the 3200?

coach, great performance list - must have taken a while to research and combine.
After looking it over, Middletown still looks like the team to beat. The 18 points from pole vault will go a long way for Coach Boyer's team at this meet. Most of their competition are strong only in a few events, while Middletown should score points in most (but winning few).
I really don't see many weak events. Everything is going to have to be earned - the way it should be. Hopefully everyone has been training well for the past few weeks. Find out next Friday.
What's Leathers going to run? Just the 3,200?
thanks again

im pretty sure leathers will atleast run the 1600 and the 3200 if not the 800 too. also does anyone know what tim souders actually 3200 time. on the performance list it says 10:34 but im pretty sure that was the race he had to stop at.

His official time when he stopped was 10:34 (so even though he stopped he ran 10:34, he stopped for approximately 5 seconds, so he was probably under 10:30 somewhere).
You say Leathers would run all 3 - do you run for FSK or just guessing. Because I would be surprised if he ran all 3 - seems like a lot of racing and I would expect he would focus on 1 or 2 to go for a state title.
