Congrats to the South Carroll Girls for winning the 1a East Regional Championships.
SC also have seven Regional Event Champions - Rachel Sykes (800 meters and 3200 meters), Nina Boston (55 Hurdles), Girls 4x400, Girls 4x800, Jess Lockatell (High Jump), and Chris Wagner (Pole Vault).
Here is a list of all their state qualifiers (they ran their regionals at the Baltimore Armory, so the times are going to be slow - and it was especially slick yesterday)

*Note: For anybody that has never been to the Baltimore Armory, it is nothing like any track you have ever run on. It is like a gym floor, very slick, and no traction at all. They don't have all the lanes marked, so sometimes it is hard to tell where you are. The air is awful there. It was also posted on running maryland that when the meet directors got there for the meet, there was signs on one of the turns that said "careful slippery" as if it was recently waxed or something had been spilled there and not picked up. It is really pointless to look at times that they run. Athletes often take spills on the turns if they take it too fast!
