I updated the rankings for the guys with the Westminster Invite. There was a lot of changes. Because all the county schools were there, and 30 ranked runners ran, a runner could gain as many as 40 points (or lose) yesterday.
(Note - why only 40 - well in case a runner has a bad race, or is sick)
This does mean, however, that while a runner like Jordan White finished 5th in the race, he is still ranked 8th in the rankings. BUT with consistent races like that, it won't take him long to move up (in fact another race like that will surely put him in the top 5). Doug Findeisen is in that same category. He was the 9th county finisher yesterday, but is still ranked 17th. That is because he has only raced 3 times thus far that have been considered in the rankings. It won't take him long to move up.
I thought it was kind of exciting to watch the scores adjust. Essentially some runners could have made up 80 points yesterday (gained 40 points while another runner lost 40). Actually, Doug Findeisen gained the most, gaining 21 points. Jake Zamostny gained 19 points yesterday.
I will have the girls up shortly.

Girls updated. Not as much movement on the girls side.
Biggest gains went to Rachel Sykes (33 points) and Anna Weaver (32 points) both from South Carroll

Boys Rankings updated after Mountain Run. Doug Findeisen gains the most, gaining 18 points.
I am told the results from the Mountain Run for the girls may have a couple errors, and the meet director was checking the place cards. I will wait to update the girls rankings till tomorrow in case they find any errors.

Coach, I know it says Robert Dawson in the results, but my name is Brent. Don't know why that error was made, but just wanted to let you know.

I thought that was you Brent, but I couldn't be sure. Thought maybe you had a brother (I know you have a sister younger then you, maybe she was a twin?). Is your real name Robert, middle name???

No, it was weird cause my name is Brent Joseph Dawson, so no Robert. And, on my bib number it said Brent Dawson. I don't know how they got Robert, but they did somehow.

I updated the boys rankings with the SC Invite.
Not sure what to do about the girls right now. I was told the results from the Mountain Run were a bit off, and I don't want to use those results if they are wrong to rank, but I can't use the SC Invite before using the Mountain Run.
