Well, I know less about some of the teams in the Chesapeake, but let me give it a try. I will do better with this one if I go event by event. I will start with Boys, try Girls later - girls is a bit more interesting:
Boys
100 - Should be a pretty good battle between Theron Johnson of Century, Taylor Hubbard of TJ, Darrick Scott of TJ and Pat Balderson of Linganore. All have been under 11.5 this year.
200 - This should be a great race between Issa Connell of NC, Terreance Kearns of TJ and Theoron Johnson of Century. This may be the best top 3 of any event.
400 - Kyle Leighton of Tuscarora has posted the fastest time in the conference so far by over 1 second.
800 - Nick Stine of Urbana should be a heavy favorite, posting the fastest time by nearly 5 seconds. Pat Wachter of Century and Kyle Ryun of Linganore may not want to give it to him so easily. Stine has dropped the 800 the last 2 meets.
1600 - I would think Kyle Ryun is a heavy favorite in this event, but Stine ran a great 1500 at Zimmerman with Dylan Bernard right behind him.
3200 - Once again, Kyle Ryun is the guy to beat, but Dylan Bernard went 9:18 at Zimmerman in the 3000, and Rob Kelvey went 10:01 at the FSK Invite. Would still give the edge to Ryun, the Bernard - but we're be pulling for our carroll county ties in Kelvey!
High Hurdles - Drew Hawley of TJ an dJim Steinholt of Tuscarora seem to be the only athletes to go sub 16 so far this year. Should be a great battle.
300 Hurdles - Kyle Pineda of Linganore has distanced himself from the field with his time of 41.4. John Lopez of Westminster and Chris Johnson of TJ will give him a chase.
4x1 - Linganore and TJ seem to have the best times so far, with times of 44.6 and 45.1. A couple teams sit around 46 flat and should make for an exciting race.
4x2 - Linganore's 1:33.3 is the best time posted so far with a 2 second cushion. Century and TJ will look to pull an upset. NC has 3 of the top 200 runners in Carroll County, and could be a factor.
4x4 - NC seems to have a strangle hold on this event. Their best time of 3:30.9 run at the Don Boyer Invite is nearly 8 seconds ahead of any other team.
4x8 - This could be an interesting race with 5 teams bunched pretty close together. Here's rooting for the Carroll County teams to go 1-2-3 with Century, Westminster and NC all throwing their hat in their against Urbana and Linganore.
Shot Put - Adam Deiseroth of Linganore is the only athlete in the conference to eclipse 50 feet this year. Shot Put seems to be a pretty deep and talented field though.
Discus - Deiseroth also has the best discus mark of 145'7.75". Josh Kusnick of Century will hopefully give him a challenge.
Long Jump - Jeff McConville is the only athlete to eclipse 20 feet this year and should be the favorite.
Triple Jump - Eric Delgado of Urbana and Jeff McConville both have jumped over 40 feet this year and should set some high marks in this dual.
High Jump - Nick Pasch of Linganore is the favorite and I don't imagine will have too much difficulty winning if healthy.
Pole Vault - Erik Adami of NC heads in as the favorite and hopes to build some confidence and momentum before his big dual with Jordan Wike at the county championships.

The girls side should be very exciting. It sets up 3 of the best teams in 3a against each other, and should result in some incredible times and marks. There are just so many talented athletes on the girls side in the Chesapeake. Definitely looks like it will be between Linganore, TJ and NC, but looks like Linganore and TJ may have the upperhand.
Girls
100 - The final should be moving with Alexis Hurd of NC, Cenarda Jackson of TJ, Lauren Quinn of Linganore, Jasmine Ingram of Tuscarora and Adrian Picker of Urbana. All these girls are very close in their times.
200 - This is even closer with 5 girls within 4 tenths of a second of each other. Najjyya Franklin-Huff of TJ has posted the fastest so far with a time of 25.7 followed closesly by Natalie Goodman of Linganore, Ingram, Melissa Turowski of Linganore and Hurd.
400 - 3 girls have gone sub 60 already this year, and should make for a blazing fast heat. Melissa Turowski leads the field with her 57.83 time followed by Quinn and Franklin-Huff.
800 - Brooke Beal of TJ will take on Katie Hursey of NC, both have posted 2:27 times this year. If she runs it, I would be pulling for Hursey in this battle.
1600 - Katie Hursey clearly is the favorite here.
3200 - and that is ditto for the 3200.
High Hurdles - Chowan Brightful of Linganore has gone 16.17 with Brooke Beal of TJ posting a 16.1. They should make for an exciting finals, adding in Liz Metz of TJ (16.4)
300 Hurdles - Maxann Keller of TJ (48.5) and Brittany Eger of Century (48.71) have posted sub 50 times and looked to push their times even more in this dual.
4x1 - Linganore, TJ, Tuscarora and NC hav all posted times sub 52. Linganore leads with a 50.08.
4x2 - Tuscarora and NC both have gone sub 1:50 (1:49.1 and 1:49.3 respectively), but Linganore and TJ will be right in the mix.
4x4 - Linganore looks to go sub 4 again and should have this event taken care of.
4x8 - Urbana posted a time of 10:08 at the Zimmerman Invite, but with NC's Katie Hursey anchoring that team, you can never count them out.
High Jump - You should see several girls clearing 5 feet in this contest, as Chowan Brightful o fLinganore, Maxann Keller of TJ and Tinsley Stokes of NC will go at it again.
Long Jump - Frankling-Huff, Amanda Yates of Linganore and Cenarda Jackson of TJ have all approached 17 feet this year.
Triple Jump - Natalie Goodman of Linganore seems to be the favorite with her jump of 36'0".
Pole Vault - NC will shoot for a 1-2-3 finish with Jessica Huber, Cheslea Truesdell and Sophie Thomas.
Shot Put - Dana Reeser of Century has a personal best of 41'10" and is the favorite.
Discus - Dana again well ahead of her competitors with her throw of 118'3".

That girls Chesapeake meet will be crazy. It will boil down to who has more of the good days and less of the bad ones. After TJ and Linganore battle with NC this week they turn their attention towards each other next week for counties.
