At our last meet I saw a guy on one of the teams had shaved the hair on his arms and legs. Now I've heard of swimmers doing this but never runners. To me it seems a little weird. But still it raises the question does shaving really make a (significant) difference in running.

One year our entire freshman class (college) did that. I think they thought all of us (veterans) were going to do it too. But we didn't.
I only hear of shaving the legs in swimmers/triathletes.

If lack of hair was that important Pre would've been bald.

I don't know about Pre being bald... but I definitely don't think shaving your legs/arms is really going to make that much of a difference. Then again I've never done it.

I totally agree, it seems like it wouldn't do anything for you. If you're going to shave your arms and legs for better times, than you might as well rip off your fingernails for less weight. And I'm pretty sure he wasn't bald.

Yea, and if that running legend had all that hair, plus a beard, than it doesn't seem like it would be all that important to shave your arm and leg hair.
