SC in 1a

South Carroll has looked pretty good against 1a teams this year. While they haven't seen everybody yet, they have stared the season very strong when facing 1a teams. The girls are 16-0 against 1a teams, while the boys are 14-2 only losing to Glenelg HS at the Howard Invite and Mountain Ridge HS at Bull Run.

There are 47 teams listed in 1a, but of those 47, at least 19 of those teams did not have complete teams last year (or had no team at all). That number could be more, but I took a quick glance. That leaves approximatly 28 teams in 1a. SC has seen 13 of these teams so far.

These could be wrong (and maybe someone can educate me), but these are each of the teams in 1a - and whether SC has seen them, or if they had complete teams last year:

Why not the boys too? Before the season I thought Glenelg was a top contender, and at Howard County Glenelg finished 9th and SC finished 10th. Findeison and Martin didn't run at Howard, so who knows what may happen there too.

I think the guys will do alright but I don't think they will be able to win states (although it would be great if they did). I just think the girls team has a much better shot at a state title.
