Who do you think from the county has a shot at state titles?
I think Katie Hursey could win the triple - 800, 1600 & 3200
Alexis Hurd in the Long Jump
Josh Cole in the Shot Put
Nick Hruch is the defending state champ in HJ, but Dyson from Frederick looked real good at the FSK Invite. Is Nick ok? He didn't take all his jumps in the HJ at counties - only missed once I think.

Will be tough for Hursey in the 800, she'll have to get down to 2:16 or so, plus 3A girls 1,600 is stacked this year.
Hurd should score in LJ, but Tiffani Long of Long Reach won't be touched.
I think Perna in 2A girls Pole Vault; Adami, Huber or Truesdale in 3A Pole Vault; and Reeser in 2A Shot Put all have great chances for the gold at Morgan State. What's up with Wike?
Tinsley from NC has shot in 3A High Jump, but competition is much tougher this year. She won last year at 5'02, might take 5'06 to win this year.

I would still bet Katie Hursey is the favorite in 3a 1600. She ran 5:01 last year, and is running faster this year. She has yet to be challenged (ran 5:13 at MVALs winning by 25 seconds. That is only 5 seconds from the best time this year.)
Adami looked good not only in pole vault but also in high jump. According to mdrunning.net's database, he is the only person in 3a to clear 6'2" so far this year (that only includes invites and championships).
Where was Josh Kusnick at Counties? He has the best Discus throw so far in the state for 2a. Josh Cole has the number 1 Shot put throw in 2a this year so far.
Jordan Wike landed on his pole at Counties I was told.
Interesting that the top 2 high jump marks in the state according to mdrunning's database are both in 2a. I am sure better marks will start to pop up now though (Jordan Wike at 6'8" and Nick at 6'7").
Brad Williams has the #2 mark in Triple Jump right now for 2a.
Anything is possible at states with Alexis Hurd. Tiffany has only jumped over 18 feet once, and Alexis has jumped over 17 feet. A good day for Alexis it could be closer then expected. Tiffany jumped at the Howard County champs less then 5 inches better then Alexis' best jump.
Christine Vidmar of Reservoir has the best Discus throw in 2a, but she has only twice this year thrown it farther then Dana Reeser's best throw this year.
I would have to agree that Katie Hursey winning the 800 would be the biggest challenge. But only one girl has broken 2:20 so far this year, and Katie has been awful close to break 2:20 without really having a challenge (although Lindsay Warfield caught her at the end at counties, but Katie ran in the front by herself until Lindsay caught her with 50 meters to go.)
I think my boys 4x8 has a shot too. Glenelg and Atholton both went sub 8:15 yesterday, but I believe we can get there. We havent' had Jim and Nick in the 4x8 together for almost the entire year. Putting our strongest squad together could have us pushing to get in that group. Our last two legs at Counties went 4:16, but Nick and Jim's PRs together is 4:01. Have been running 8:28 all year without having our anchor leg have to chase anybody yet. I am sure we will have to chase people from now on.
