There will be an ALL COMERS MEET on June 25th at Liberty High School. The meet will begin at 1pm with registration starting at 12:30pm. The cost is $2 per athlete with a $30 max for teams. The following events will be held in age groups from sub-bantam(born in 1998 or younger) to open(1991 or older)
3000 M Run
80 M Hurdles
100 M Hurdles
4x800 M Relay
100 M Dash
1500 M Run
400 M Run
800 M Run
200 M Dash
4x100 M Relay
4x400 M Relay
Field Events:
High Jump
Long Jump
Shot Put
Discus

NO! why does everything exciting happen the week im out of town?!?! oh well, it sounds like it would be a lot of fun. you could bet id show up for the mile and 800.

Event Limits:
Age Groups (year born):
1998 & younger (sub-bantam, max of 3 events)
1996 & younger (bantam, max of 3 events)
1994-1995 (midget, max of 4 events)
1992-1993 (youth, max of 4 events)
1991 & older (open (including adults), max of 4
events)

i like the open meet idea; i've been out of track for about 5 months. Are there anymore open meets after June 25th??

There are no more scheduled at Liberty as of now but here is a link to the Potomac Valley Track Club that holds open meets at Langley High School in VA. I've heard they are worth the drive, not to far. They have 2 after the 25th. www.pvtc.org/outdoor.html |

how much paperwork needs to be done to hold these meets? because I think that as XC and fall sports in general get closer, you'd have a much better turnout. Having one in late July-early August would be great to publicize it to incoming freshman who are thinking about possibly doing track.

Nothing is set as of right now for another open meet at Liberty but there is talk about it, so check back for updates!
