1 MILE CROSS WALK FOR ANDREW CROSS
Many of you may be aware that one of the HS Cross Country Athletes (a Sophomore) has been diagnosed with Leukemia. This year, we will hold a 1 Mile Cross Walk for Andrew Cross. Proceeds from the 1 Mile event will go to help defray his medical expenses. Andrew's illness has had a profound impact on the local running community, and we will have additional announcements coming concerning additional ways we hope to support Andrew and his family.

We are also seeking help with the rogue race. Please let us know if you might be able to help out. We only have a month till the race and could use all the help we can get!

We've gotten e-mails asking these questions, so we thought we would let everybody know:
While the 1 Mile Cross Walk is for Andrew - if you want to run the 5K and make a donation you can do this. There will be a stand set up where you can do this. They will also have an "Alex's Lemonade Stand" for cancer research, and will be selling Leukemia wristbands with "Cross It Out" printed on it.
You can register at Liberty on Saturday, September 2nd at the football stadium between 11 am to 2 pm during our packet pickups. If you mail in entries, if you mail after Wednesday we may not get it in time. You can register online all week (http://www.active.com/event_detail.cfm?event_id=1338028)
We have been getting a lot of supportive e-mails and look forward to a great crowd. Thanks to everybody.

Just wanted to send out a quick thank you to everyone who ran in the race yesterday.
I know a lot of runners came out in support of Andrew - that was a great thing to see. Thanks again...
Have a great season...
