Hey Folks!
It is that time of the year again... time to get your registration in for the Summer Retreat.
The Registration form is up. This year's retreat will be from July 22 - 24 and for the second year, it will be held at Cacapon State Park (WV). If you are a high school athlete interested in getting ready for your fall sport, we hope you will join us. The cost is $145 and includes a one year membership in ERR. Also, we are looking for one or two more chaperones. If you are a runner and would enjoy being a chaperone, please contact us (WeekendRetreat@errun.org).

Will there still be the regular Summer Training Runs schedule next week while many of the runners will be at the retreat?

First, I am not sure about the training Runs next week on Monday and Tuesday. You are welcome to call Pete Lester Jr. or shoot him an e-mail through this website.
Second, plans are coming together. Our Treasurer has paid the bill in full (so we want get kicked out), the beach at the lake has been reserved, and Dan Reedy and I are ready to defend our Frisbee Golf Championship from last year - so be ready.
Lasty, here is the most recent information I have concerning confirmations (shown in the order they were received):
1 Dan Rodriguez 2 Matt Little 3 Quinn Hazelton 4 Daniel Wesloh 5 Danny Haines 6 Tim Souders 7 Andrew Cross 8 Brandon Sisolak 9 Eric Liberatore 10 Jordan Marcucci 11 Patrick Dougherty 12 Sean Dougherty 13 Justin Lansinger 14 Sam Schlacter 15 Karl Bohn 16 Jimmy Filomena 17 Doug Atkinson 18 William Orndorff

I am posting this on the fly. I will try to send out a more thoughtful and complete e-mail to all the attendees at the e-mail addresses you provided on the registration form.
We will see you all in the parking lot at Liberty High School (North of 26, just west of Hwy. 32 - Turn at the Chilli's and go up the hill, pass the school, second lot) a little before 12:45.
We encourage you to eat lunch before coming.
We encourage you to bring a few snacks to share both on the trip over, but also with your roommates. Keep it simple. Dont bring a ton of stuff.
We kindly request that everyone leave their cell phones at home or in your cars. With most cell phones being equiped with cameras, parents have expressed concern over the possibility that inappropriate pictures might get taken. Also, you should know, service is spotty at best in the park.
We will have chaperone cell phone numbers to share with parents at the drop-off on Sunday. They can also call Cacapon State Park to reach us (we will be the largest group there - and we have rented the entire OLD INN: 304-258-5323).
When we head back to LHS, the chaperones will pass their cell phones around their car so that parents will have a better idea of when we should arrive back in Eldersburg.
What to Bring: Runing Clothes (you will be running at least twice each day) Bathing suits Beach Towel Bath Towel (these are provided, but we did run low last year with all the running, swimming... we suggest you bring at least one of your own) Running Shoes Loose Clothes (we will have some sessions when we play games, hang out, cover various topics related to running, you will want to be comfortable) At least one long sleeve Tee (at night, the bugs can get out of hand - you might want one) Toiletries
Anything else, MP3 Players, IPods, DVD Players, it is up to you. You will not have much time to use them... and we hope you will spend the time interacting with everyone else rather than wathcing a movie. Lap tops. Not needed. No internet service. Please do not bring them.
Again, I will refine this a bit, and try to get an e-mail out to everone by tomorrow... but this covers the basics.
Best regards, and we are looking forward to a great retreat with all of you... be ready to run!
Pete Lester, Sr.
