Runfaster - is there a reason you didn't put a post on this one like you did all the rest of the CMAC events? I heard it was a very exciting race right to the end with the anchor legs. I think I even heard their was a reporter there to cover the event. Is this true?

Hi SpongeBob, There's a very good reason why nothing was posted between Thursday evening and Monday morning. That reason is that I headed home Thursday night and didn't have to go to work again until Monday. I don't touch a computer unless I have to... Family time, or some other lousy reason, I guess...
And, contrary, to popular belief, there was not a reporter there. There was, however, some runner-wannaba who, when on the clock, works as a reporter. However, said runner-wannabe was actually running (okay, I'm being generous in calling it running) and not reporting.
Now, with your permission and endorsement, I will post the results! ;D

Nearly three weeks ago at the Maryland high school track and field championships, Liberty junior Nick Hruch completed a remarkable come-from-behind victory in the 3,200-meter relay.
On June 8, Lions coach Bobby Ward pulled off a couple of comebacks of his own — albeit with much less than a state title up for grabs.
Ward, 26, and teammate John Basett combined to place first among four teams during the first summer cross coun-try relay race at Liberty High School.
Ward — who was in second place both times he started his legs — and Basett each ran two 1-kilometer legs in a cumulative 15 minutes, 43 seconds. Together they edged the team of Raleigh Linville, age 11, and Kevin Spradlin, by three seconds.
Individual splits were unavailable, though Ward probably posted two sub-3:40 1Ks to overtake Spradlin each time.
Men 1. John Basett (39) and Bobby Ward (26), 15:43 2. Raleigh Linville (11) and Kevin Spradlin (27), 15:46
Women 1. Rachel Griffith (18) and Katie Griffith (18), 18:30 2. Hana Vienneau (12) and Katie Todd (11), 18:41.
The next CMAC cross country race will be held at 7 p.m. June 22 at Liberty.
