Heidi Wolfsberger continued her domination of a local road race series by winning the Valley Great 8 miler in 48 minutes, 16 seconds, breaking her own course record by 26 seconds.
She finished 8th overall in the race held in Cornygham, Pa. on a challenging layout and an uphill finish.

She's working, mostly via email, with Doug Renner with workouts, goals and race planning. To be honest, I don't know if she has a particular goal for this year. Heidi, Sherry Stick and Becky Alvarez are the three women not running a marathon this fall. Sherry's focus is anything under 10K. Becky ... I haven't heard from in a while. Heidi's running really well right now - it'd be nice to see her focusing on something. Again, that's between her and Renner, I guess.
Pam Maldeis, Kim Jaick, Diana Pool and Jill Krebs are all running a marathon this fall. All but Pam will be making their marathon debut. All 4 are looking to qualify for the Olympic Marathon Trials.
