I have not posted here since July 7, 2006. It was a few days after that when I left Maryland "for good" and relocated to Missouri. Thankfully, I have found a job in Cumberland and was able to move the family back to my home state.
Missouri wasn't fun (although Shaw Nature Reserve was a great place to run, only 1.4 miles from my house) and rekindled my love of amateur baseball (check out www.weaselbaseball.com - I was the manager of the Bears).
Anyway, CMAC's done some really exciting things since last summer. Bobby posted the Heidi's qualifier for next April's women's Olympic Trials Marathon in Boston (April 20). Sherry led the team contingent at the Linganore Winery XC 8K for the xxth-straight year (CMAC had 3 of the top 5 spots or something). And now the team's gearing up for '08, and possibly a run at a third consecutive Cherry Blossom club team title.
Oh yeah! Almost forgot - CMAC is now BWAC - Baltimore-Washington Athletic Club. Somebody older, wiser and much more inclined to consider others' feelings once said to me, 'once you go BWAC, you never go back.' We nixed that as a club motto, however. PC things days is truly out of control, don't you think?
Well, I'm running (slowly, but I'm running), writing some stuff and following BWAC in action (wasn't that a movie?). Hope to see some of you next October for the Great Allegany Run 15K in Mount Savage. That should be my first try at the race (and distance, come to think of it). Also want to try that 15K in Emmitsburg next year.
I'll also likely make it to Carroll for a race now and then. I just missed the WRRC's Dancer Dash 10K. Too bad for me. A top 20 finish was virtually guaranteed.
Glad to be back, write me if you want and let me know what's going on.
See ya round.
