Coach Shank is an incredible coach. I never actually ran for him technically (although I did run in the "county indoor program" they had in 1997-8), but I learned a lot from him. I hope he continues to stay involved in the local meets as I think he is. He knows a great deal about track & field, and seems to love the people involved.
