Wouldn't it be neat if we had an indoor track in carroll county. Well, when I win the lottery (haven't won yet, haven't bought a ticket either), I always say I would buy up old london fog and build a facility.
So to plan for the future, need to come up with ideas of the Perfect indoor track facility. What sort of things can we dream up? Keep it realistic (no rollercoasters on the 3rd floor), but what sort of ideas might make a perfect indoor facility.
To start them up:
there has to be a warmup track. Large bathrooms A wall with the School Records from each county school

Rubber Track Good ventilation system so it isn't as dry as HCC LJ/TJ Pit Bleachers around the outside of the track, not in the middle

the track should go around a big open pit with smoldering hot lava and burning coals that houses a huge 3 headed dragon that lieks to eat coaches, but since he hasnt eaten in 400 years hell eat any runner that falls (is pushed) in. this indoor track should have a rules list posted saying:
1. You can push people into the dragon pit to win (or for fun) 2. No other rules apply.
this, of course, would mean all the HJ, TJ, and PV pits would have to be outside the track circle.

Sure make a joke of my awesome thread.
Has to be a jumbotron tv for all the races like at PG.
Also - FAT timing is permanent fixture.

oooooooo and a podium, and a gatorade machine, and a giant digital clock so we can always know what time it is and not have to wander around asking for an hour, also a video lounge would be good, and a really really big pool

its not a joke.
in addition, each runner will be provided a full length, sharpened sword at the beginning of each race. if eaten, the runner must try to fight its way out with the sword. if he or she is able to, he or she does not die, but will have to replace the monster they killed.

A pool is a must. Now when we have injuries they can aqua run all practice. Bet we have less injuries now.
The video room, not so sure about. Kind of takes away from the idea of sports
Clock is good but it could go on the jumbotron like it is at pG

hmm how about if you kill the monster you get to make your opponents (that survived) run whatever race you want, no matter how grueling it is *cough* 10k on an indoor track *cough*

how about some sort of EFFECTIVE fan system to keep the place cool and at a comfortable humidity level.
The dry-mouth at HCC is awful.

hmm to add to the gstorade machine it should all be free, and for HJ and PV the standards would be automatic all you'd have to do is put the bar on and punch in the height and it would go up automatically, and a series of computers where you could go and look up times, since they would be posted RIGHT AFTER the race was over
