My name is Mike Meadows and I will be a senior next fall at Liberty High School. I consider myself a well-rounded student athlete, maintaining a weighted 4.875 GPA due to Advanced Placement and Honors level courses, while participating on sports teams for Liberty during all three seasons. I am also involved in the National Honor Society, and I am the newly elected President of the Debate Club. Community Service is also a priority in my life. Many hours of volunteer work through NHS, service in the local 4-H club, and as President of my church Youth Group through missions work has strengthened my persona. I run cross-country in the fall and participate on the Track and Field Team during the winter and spring. The Liberty Boys Cross Country Team finished out last season with another State Championship, bringing the total to three in a row for the 2003, 2004, and 2005 seasons. Our Indoor Track and Field Team also finished on a high note as the State runner-up. As you can see I have had a very successful running career so far at Liberty, and because of that I have been given the opportunity of a lifetime.
I have been invited to participate in the International Sports Specialists, Inc. Down Under Sports Tour in Australia in July of 2006 on our state Cross-Country team. I am honored to be an ambassador of not only our community and state, but also our country. While in Australia, I will be participating in an international tournament. I am asking for sponsors to make a contribution toward the cost of my trip. A major source of funds comes from money I have earned from part time work and voluntary contributions of family, friends, and sponsors like you. Your sponsorship will be a very important part of my fundraising activity. This donation will help me fulfill a once in a lifetime opportunity. I thank you very much for your help.
