We just re-did the home page (as well as released the new newsletter). Let us know what you think. We are trying to keep increasing the content on it. www.errun.org

Been heavily working on making some new changes to the ERR website, and love to hear input. I came up 13 hits short of an all time record for hits in a month for ERR, and I want to break it this month. some of the changes: We changed the look of the Calendar. It should be easier to update, and easier to find the important info for ERR: www.errun.org/Calender.aspWe changed the initial page for the Photo Album. Now on the initial page, there is one picture from each album, and a link to that album. This does cause this page to take longer to load. How long does it take yours to load. Is this nice? I could go farther and seperate it by year, and take out the menu at the bottom ONLY when you are on the pages looking at the various photo albums. When you actually enter a photo album I would bring this menu back. www.errun.org/PhotoAlbum.aspFor club members, we added a couple new calculators you can use including a Training Heart Rate calculator. I can't give you the link, cause it won't work until you login. The Extended Home Page is about the change, and have a lot of great information. It will be much easier and quicker to find information. But before I can change that, I need to come up with a new name for it (Extended Home Page just isn't cool). I am creating a new thread/poll. Please let us know which name you like best. Some new resources you will find here include a listing of local colleges and universities and members of ERR that attended or are attending each. It is a great way to get in touch with someone if you are thinking about a college. I added 3 new course maps to our Course Maps Page that is in the Parent Corner as well as added new words to our popular glossary. www.errun.org/ParentCorner.aspwww.errun.org/CourseMaps.aspwww.errun.org/Glossary.aspSomeone suggested the idea of having a ERR Photo Hall of Fame Album. In here we could have pictures of Carroll County Champions and State Champions. What do you think? Might be hard to get pictures of all of them though, I know I can't get to all the county champs each year. And of course we made some changes to the home page a couple weeks back, and I think it is organized much better now. We should have pictures up soon from the DC Scavenger Hunt and the Quest Run from this summer. Sorry, I am a big behind with those. One of these days I hope to create a photo album for schools in the county. If I can get my hands on photos of cross country and track runners in the county, I will put them in each schools photo album. But obviously right now I have a ton of Liberty, and not many of anybody else. So I am not going to do that with it unequal like that. Please let me know what you think. I want to break the record this month!!

I like the idea of having an ERR Hall of fame, and a photo album for each school in the county would be nice.
If getting pictures for it is a problem maybe someone on each team could send you some in.

I know some parents have been taking pictures of the kids on our team for a slide show at the end of the year, I'll see if they can send you some.

The Website is coming along great, you have some pretty sweet ideas to keep people wanting to come back. My mom takes pictues of SC at the meets so ill send you some eventually. Just tell me what type of pics your looking for; ex: Team pic at each meet, and few of the people running (JV and Varsity)

Anything is great. We love getting things up of local athletes. I always like team pics, but that's me. I also love race photos.

I just wanted to say that the calender this season is really well organized and I hope that you keep up with that through indoor and outdoor track. That said, it would be nice if more coaches would submit JV results. I know that it isn't really in your control but it would be nice to have.
Also, I like the idea of having picture galleries for the separate schools but we don't really have pictures from individual schools. Maybe on the homepage or in the galleries put a notice that we're looking for pictures to be submitted. Another issue I have with the galleries is that you can't really see what's going on in the pictures. I recognize that it uses up a lot of bandwidth but it seems a little useless to have pictures that are of such a low resolution. A thumbnail/full size system could be put into place to save a bit on bandwidth, but other than that I don't really see anyway to remedy this. It's just that in a 300x250 you can barely tell who the people are.
Overall, the site looks really good and its good to see you working on it again. I don't want to make it seem like I'm complaining because I enjoy this site and will probably continue to enjoy it as much as I do now if these things never get changed.
Cheers

New page added - www.errun.org/ERRMemberRaceCalendar.asp which list races our club members are running in if you want to join them (or let us know races your running in). Also added an update to the Running Shorts page about how ERR did at the Baltimore Distance Festival.
