Mike Hexter, a senior on my team, is collecting new and used running shoes for an organization called "One World Running" that sends the shoes to third world countries to promote health, fitness, and nutrition. His goal is to collect 400 pairs of shoes by January to send to this organization.
I know everyone has a few pairs of old shoes that still have a few miles left in them. There's no sense in having them clutter up your house. You might as well give them to someone that needs them a little more than you. We are fortunate in this country to be able to replace our shoes every 500 or so miles. Why not let your old shoes do some good?
If you wish to donate shoes you can do it one of two ways. The first way is to stop by "If the Shoe Fits" they have a collection box in the store. The second way is to stop by our team area at one of our meets and we will have a box there also.
We will be attending the following meets: 10/11 Run from the Lion's Den 10/20 MVAL Chesapeake 10/28 Frederick Co. Championship 11/2 4A North Regional Meet
Thanks. Coach Snyder Thomas Johnson Cross Country

Don't forget to bring your old shoes to MVAL's on Friday. We'll be there through the JV race.

I forgot to bring mine to MVAL's, but I'll be sure to drop off my old running shoes. I think I've got like 4 pairs of Asics that I've outgrown and like two pairs that I've just worn out a fair amount and replaced with, you guessed it, even more Asics. It's all I wear anymore.
