State Champions

The county should walk away with some state championships this year with Hursey, Hruch, Hurd, Wike, and so many others. Who all do you think has a chance from the county to win a state title and in what?

Hursey, NC in the 800 and up if she runs them all
Wike, WM in the pole vault
Reeser, Century in the shot
Hruch, Liberty in the high jump
Also...going out on a limb (maybe a bit of favoritism) but Kusnick, Century in the shot too

NC girls take a team title too.

Tinsley Stokes in High Jump
Bethany Perna in Pole Vault
Jess Huber in Pole Vault

I think Liberty has a couple other possibilities

I'm going to say Huber, Chelsea Truesdale, and Sophie Thomas go 1-2-3 in pole vault. I also think NC's Issa Connell has a chance in some of the sprint events.

Coach, who else from your team do you think has a shot at a state title?

Well, I think there are a bunch that have a shot, just to name a few:

Brad Williams in Triple Jump (one of the top returners)
Nick Hruch in the 800 (one of the top times in 2a)
Boys 4x4 team - 5th last year, even stronger this year
Boys 4x8 team - won indoors, loss of Liberatore will have to be filled but we do have guys that are strong

There are others, and I am sure some will be mad i didn't mention them, but I just named some of the ones that came real close either last year or indoors.

I hope we can make a run at Forestville and Atholton in the outdoor meet. I am sure there are other teams too, but those are the two teams that won indoors. For girls, with the return of allison smith, it will be tough, but we all like a challenge.
