I hope they do a better job this year with All-County than last year. I liked finding out more about people than hearing about their accomplishments again.

That's not conceited. Being conceited would be to say you are the best or belong on the All-county team.
But you do BELONG on the All-County first team, so I would expect they will call you soon.

The Carroll County Times traditionally simply takes the top 8 finishers at the county meet and calls it the all-county team. They really don't do much analysis.

Some pretty hopeful times on the boards here. I'd like to run a 4:15 or so in indoor for the mile, but hey thats just a goal. I'd be happy if I could run a 1:13 or so in the 500, and I think that might be a realistic goal.

Alright sissler i got ya covered. For those who check the boards there out here for you guys to post your thoughts, get active. The more we post, the closer we get as a running community, not that i need to get close to any of you. I met a lot of cool kids from all over the region goin up to footlocker on the bus, i had a lot of fun. Had the pleasure of meeting some linganore folk and a howard kid who will prod one of my predictions. So here i shall start.
the hruch prophecies 1) I predict Andrew Revelle is not going to run indoor because he is afraid of wearing himself out for outdoor. My response... he better rethink that. Me and revelle don't talk much, strengthening that atholton liberty rivalry, but i don't want revelle to miss out this indoor season. I dont think it will make him any better by skipping it. Yes you got beat in outdoor in the 1600 and 3200 and the 800, but you were dead for that one and i applaud you on the fact that you had to run all three. But Joey simply out ran you at the end. the only way your going to beat him is keep your training up, get some speed workouts in for kicks, and make sure you dont PEAK before states. Your an amazing runner, but the times you ran before states should have been saved for states. so i think he should run indoor track cause i dont want him to make a mistake and hurt himself for outdoors.
2) Allison Smith will not be on the active roster for atholton either. Why... not sure. I've never spoken to her, but i feel that she may be skipping out to train off season. My reply, best training is competition, keeps your awareness up and your competitive spirit. Chances are you ran bull run faster than I, your fast... train with those kids on the team. Running alone or training off season, you dont train with heart, and heart is what makes you stronger. If you are running club, then thats cool, but how does that thrust you into the team in outdoor? will that help them... will that help you to have trained by yourself with no one knowing how you run or train.
3) Sisler will run fast. Why, because he was fairly impressive in xc. What you need to do is get in the gym, start working on that kick... you have a good running build. I think you'll be running a 2:00 - 2:01 for the open 800. and then you'll probably runn a 4:35 mile
4) Jared - i got you runnin sub 4:30 in the mile. Prove me right. probably 4:27-29. and run the 800 workouts cause that will help ya. And i predict your going to get sick for some reason. so watch your health.
5) Arthur - You and welsh are taken the 3200 for the county, lets see some solid broken 10mins maybe. i think you could probably out kick welsh right now but he's not far behind, once he starts doing som leg muscle weights or squats, he's up there with you. you got super fast rotation in the legs, keep that up.
6) My boy Liberatore... I predict he's going to have one hell of a season. I also predict the enexorable possibility of having suffer a sprained foot before accomplishing an amazing season. (sorry bud, your prone, prove me wrong). I want to see him go sub 2, he ran a 1:59 something for a split in the 4x8last year so he's down there, i think 1:59 should be his goal, but to see him go lower would not be a suprise... (1:57.5 - 1:58). For the mile, your up there with sisler and welsh, probably around 4:32-35, without a ful xc season, you might be a little light on the endurance coming off the 4x800 into the mile... And i predict i'm going to force coach bob to put you on a 4x4 team that might suprise some people.... including me.
7) I guess its alright to say that I think i can take down the 800m and the HJ. The 800 will be tough this year, larger field... really strong. Hj, i should be watching out for Adami cause he's got some spring left from outdoor
8) I think Century 4x800 will run a 8:25 this year. They have a very strong 800 squad, but we need to see how they come together.
9) Brent Dawson will be under 2 mins for the 800. And i will literally push him across the finish line if i have to. That kids deserves to break that barrier and i think he will. He did in outdoor during summer and hes got amazing talent. He's going to find a random kick halfway through the season and its going to be a fast one.
10) I predict jordan wike graduated
11) I predict Katie hursey is still a beast in indoor. She might need some work in that 800, probably aim for a 2:24-22 and a 5:28 mile should suffice (save some for outdoor)
12) Liz McCarter is probably going to run a really fast 800 that makes everyone go wow. and then we'll all realize that she's even faster in track than xc. I'm thinkin a 2:19-21 for Liz
13) Theron Johnson is going to take the 55 over brad martz at a good time that i dont know. But i know its going to be faster than last year. So there. And he's takin the Ian Becker is going to take the 300 with tom Martz behind him Tom is going to take the 500 at a 1:09.8
14) Adamis taking polevault cause he knows how to. 13 ft?
15) I think andrew cross is going to run and inspire us all to PR
16) Josh cole... shot puts all you bud. Keep up that work.
17) My prophecies will continue later
Anyway, i dont know, some of these prophecies might be wrong cause those people arent even running but those are what i think. YEp. So anyway, start talking this site up, get something moving, theres got to be plenty of gossip out there about track. Lie who's faster than who, or who throws farther than who. oh one more prophecy, sisler is going to get yelled at more than 5 times this indoor season on the forum. haha... j/k. everyone's pickin on you. anyway, 3 weeks until the first meet, i am just starting practice. I will have fun. As should everyone else.

1. PV will be intresting I can guarentee that, as of right now Adami doesn't have a lock on anything
2. Yeah you need a life, then again I think I'm just posting to put off writing this 7-page paper
And whover runs sub 4:10 mile (if anyone) will earn a cookie from me

The real question is - what kind of cookie?
Yeah, just some updates on what Nick said that were a bit off.
Katie Hursey doesn't run indoor track. She uses the winter for her swimming.
Both Andrew Revelle and Alison Smith train with that Los Machos club with Coach Funk instead of running with their team in the indoor season. There are a few others that do the same thing, so they have people they train with. They will still race, in fact that is one of the main reasons I believe they do that - so they can get in meets that their team can not get into.
Knock on wood, Eric hasn't had problems with his ankle in a long time. His knee shouldn't be much of a factor since it only got to him when he ran downhills. I haven't seen a downhill track yet, but I'll keep looking. I think he will have a healthy season, and I know that mile time you have for him is not as fast as he plans on going. But we all have plans...
Nick - no talk of an freshman high jumpers beating you??
Brent Dawson - correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought you said you ran 2:01 over the summer, not sub 2 like Nick said?
I believe Josh Cole wrestles.
Nick, you didn't do enough girls predictions?!? On the girls distance, Carly Reed is running indoor track. She should find a lot of success. Liberty's Laura Ball had some tough injuries in xc, before she got hurt she was running very well. She is doing indoor for the first time also. I did hear that Alison Eaton, Katie Griffin and Kristen O'Brien weren't running. I am sorry they won't be, especially Katie and Kristen. I have watched them run for 4 years now and have always enjoyed seeing their enthusiasm for the sport. I believe they will run outdoor though.

Nick quite an impressively long post there and quite accurate on most topics. Yes Josh Cole does wrestle but I've talked to people who've been trying to convert him. Colin, how did you know she was doing baskbetball? well idk if she made it or not, ill have to ask her some time.

I have a feeling that Dulaney will have a great season, seeming under the radar for most people but watch out....
