i hate to be a party pooper but the course had to have been faster/shorter than previous years.
seeing as my time 2 years ago, 17:40 something, was beaten by a guy from westminster, bucasink 17:38, this year (who hasnt come within a minute and a half of my times that i posted my senior year)
not to take away from anyone, but lets compare some of these times to those of arthur leathers and jared welsh of just the last 2 years. low 17's for both of them at mountain run, mid to hi 16's at bull run, and compare them to these current runners from WM, westminster, etc

The course is the same as it was last year. They did possibly change it from when you ran it. Did you have to run back and forth across the field before you could finish? If you did they added to the first mile to eliminate that zig-zag at the end since then. All but one person on my squad PRed on that course, and that one was coming back from an injury. Some PRed by 10 seconds, some by 2-3 minutes, the majority by 30 to 60 seconds. Plus, that Chesapeake/Blue Ridge boys race was insane. It was a sight seeing that huge pack come over the bridge the first time around. The Antietam/Piedmont race was more spread out by that point.
