Look for a 4x8 from Century of Mike Cook, Chris Mead, Eric Brown and Ezra Milby to take the state title. Most likely in sub 8:10

I had to register on this site after seeing that 4x800 team listed as state favorites (probably the best 4x800 team Carroll County ever saw). Seriously though Brent and Colin, you have no idea how fat I am now. Also, the last time I ran a 4x800 with Ezra, Eric and Mead was probably spring track in 2003. I can't believe that was over 5 years ago.

i think one of the top teams in the county is going to be Winters Mill's Boys team, this is because they really didn't lose alot of talent from last year and they have a few others coming out this year that will pick up the slack from losing those runners.

I agree Winters Mill boys will be tough, I really cant think of a boys team that will challange them. The girls I think North carroll, Century, and South Carroll will all be tough

ya, the girls are going to be up in the air and those teams always are going to be tough, WM girls just don't have alot there, i mean the only ones from the team that went to states last year was Erica Diffendal and Liz Holland. But outside that, they don't have alot of good talent. Then on the boys side, Winters Mill just has alot of returning talent. So unless some teams got some really amazing freshman then i can't see many teams competing with them. But Liberty always finds some way to make it interesting. For Conferences Middletown should be decent but alot of that is because they always have like 80 kids on their boys team!

I thought someone might find this interesting... I took last year's Indoor County Championships, got everybodies grades, and eliminated the graduated seniors. Here is the top returners for this year. I did the best I could to get all the right grades for each athlete. Note: Obviously I had to eliminate the relays from this, which is a big factor in the outcome of the meet. Also, there is obviously a lot of kids that have improved a great deal, and there is definitely kids coming out that will be big factors in the outcome of the meet (example - Ryan Spangler running indoor for Winters Mill). Also, a few events (55, 55H, HJ, PV) had significant losses to graduation, so much that there isn't even 6 returners from the results - so there is a lot of points there too). But regardless this is kind of interesting, especially how close the girls meet looks from this analysis (but first year athletes can have a much greater impact in the girls meet then boys meet). At the bottom I did score the meet based on these returning athletes.

With Indoor Track Season started and meets quickly approaching does anyone care to share any thoughts (Meets, Runners To Watch, Teams etc.).
I also have to say that i think that it is very sad that no one writes on the message board anymore it used to be that there was almost a new conversation everyday, now we are lucky if we get one a season. this used to be a message board that had many good and heated debates and topics now no one comments coach ward is really the only one to post anything
