I saw on the schedule that there was a Running Waters Invite on the 8th? FSK, WM, and NC went according to the schedule. Are there results or didn't this meet take place?

I don't believe any of these teams went to this meet. I believe it was on their schedule initially (highschoolsports.net) because they went last year. Either the meet didn't occur this year, or they decided not to go, because all the carroll county schools have their first meet this weekend.

hey just wondering how each schools coach is deciding to run the first meet. i know our coach is just trying to let as many people do as many events as they can since our team is young and he wants to see what potential we have. i bet liberty is pretty sure where/who their strengths are, so are you guys letting people get a taste of everything, or going for the win?

We run each meet in a way that we can do well at the championships. That is how we treat each "regular season" meet. We are trying to developed each athletes abilities so that the teams we field are the championships are the best possible teams we could have. Winning or losing isn't our priority in a regular season meet.

To me 3 meets really matter-counties, regionals, and states. I use the regular meets to experiment with different people in different events so that I know who should run what event when we get to the big 3. I use MVAL's as a trial run. I like to know everyone's strengths and weaknesses so that I can put the best people on the line in each event when the gun goes off.

so it sounds like everyone is just taking the first meet (or first few) to see where everyone is. sounds like fun. i am hoping however that liberatore and hruch are in the 800 right?
