Some of us may be, but most of us are in Track & Field right now:)
I still have to get up the top 10 rankings for each event from this weekend and post the results (for track & field). I might already have the pre-season rankings done, but I am not really going to worry about the preseason rankings for at least another month.
If I have time I will try to get it up, but outdoor track & field is my priority right now:)

I have put up the pre-season rankings for this year.
If you want to know how the rankings work, the link above "how it works" gives a pretty good explanation.
In case anybody was curious how the pre-season rankings work, we take last year's rankings, take out the seniors and add a set number of points to each individuals score. Typically this is 30 but since the boys scores are significantly lower then the girls, I decided to add more to the boys scores (note: the only effect this will have is enable more boys to be in the rankings. The graduation of athletes is what has lowered the boys scores faster then the girls. The girls have not seen a great number of athletes graduate the last few years. 2007 was a huge year for that freshman class, and they have just kept compiling points each year. We will see more senior girls graduating the next couple years now for the girls).
After we have added the points, that is the base score we will start with for the 2009 season for these athletes. With the graduation of seniors, we also want to add a few names to the rankings. What we do is we go through the 2008 XC County Championship meet, and add the next best finishers at this meet that are not in the rankings.
Note: This is based on who ran last year, and I am sure there are some athletes that are not coming back this year. If you know of any, please let me know ASAP so I can get them off the rankings. (the system is set up that eventually these athletes that aren't running will be eliminated, but it would be nice to get them off now so the list is more accurate. Also, athletes that didn't run last year have not had an opportunity to join the rankings yet. This includes all the incoming freshman, and athletes that may have run track & field in the spring and are coming out for the team this year. For example, the 3rd and 4th place finishers in the girls 3200 at the County Championships this past spring both didn't run XC last year, but both will be running XC this year. They will surely make an appearance in the rankings quickly and will be able to move up to their spot.
If you have any questions about the rankings, let me know.

Just saw this. You should take Alex and Eric Haufler off this list. They are just doing club runs for fun this year while they train for swimming Jr Nationals.
