It has to be upbeat - the percussion in the background should be quick but have a rhythm. Your stride can be linked to this (especially when you run to music - but you should never run with headphones on!!!)

I've seen Matt Kepler go up and take a vault with a cd player in his pocket and his head phones on, he didn't do it on purpose of course but it was still cool

Basically any Pink Floyd song gets me pumped, "On the Run" makes you feel like your moving also Deftones is a great band, i wonder what their concerts would be like

I think that Seether, Mudvayne, and Slipknot pump you up, but if you aren't into that type of music I guess a classic like "We Will Rock You" works, or any other preference that you might have.
