Oh, and by the way, if he hasn't come to practice yet, he isn't eligible for the first meet!

true, dont you have to make 14 practices and compete in at least 2 meets before you can go to states?
i talked to hursey on friday and her coach was trying to get her to come back for just those two meets. we talked during lunch and she opted not to go with that, smart move, since shes focusing on swimming and she didnt want it to look like she was just coming in in the end to school people.

You have to compete in at least 2 meets to compete in regionals. The 14 days is correct.

I'm pretty sure that Jake is one of the best 800 runners in the county. I don't think you (Colin) will beat him.
The trash talking is funny, at least you're all excited for this season.

Sounds like she just recently changed her mind.
I'm surprised. I would guess she has to give up swimming because there is no way to do both.

i spoke to her at lunch yesterday cus i eat at her table at the tech center. she said that she decided to get some indoor track running experience before she'd be forced to do it in college. she is still doing swimming and is running a minimum of 2 days a week with the team and then distance runs to keep up her base. she says shes nervous about it now but better now then when it reallly counts. pretty smart if you ask me

Wow. My sister was a swimmer for GTAC and there's no way she could've handled running indoor track too.
I don't know exactly what her training is obviously, but Katie will be in awesome shape come May.

so i thought i'd just put this out there... who prophecised katie hursy contending for the 1600 and 3200 in indoor track and was shot down because "Katie Hursey doesn't run indoor track!" thats right... me! I Spite YOU ALL. Don't doubt me... i know what i'm talking about. j/k. About Eric... he's fast. and dedicated too. I myself am kinda feeling a little out of shape. I dont know about the rest of you but i'm not feeling as strong as i was hoping to so i have a LOT of work to do, especially with high jump. I ended up running a 2:?? with eric running a 2:??+1 (haha, you'll get a better sense at uhenson). but eric has been doing off the hook crazy training with me and a few others... if anyone knows what air alert is, its a series of drills that you wear yourself out so much you can't stand anymore, no lie. he looks healthy and confident, and i'm excited to run with him. The 800 is going to be detrimental to my health cause i can't stop thinking about it, and not only because of libertys strength but everyone else. I'm telling you the truth when i say i'm getting really nervous too. and chances are i might be once again doubling up on the 4x400 and the 800 with high jump and 4x800... maybe the 500? pole vault? probably not the 1600... interchangable with the 4x400. I DONT KNOW... so confusing. ok. BYE. oh and jake i dont doubt oyu. you are faster than i expect too
