Bowling Brook is not a public school, they can't compete for the county championships. I doubt they have a team to begin with, and never have the same athletes from a year ago.

yes i would have to say that it looks like fsk is above and beyond the best looking team with martz in sprinting and their medley of distance runners to score points. however other than hruch and liberatore i am not sure who liberty has this year. i forget what grade their top jumper was last year ( im thinking junior). obviously there is a few of "libpolvaulters" on here so they must be developing a program which is good.
i would have to agree with colin's blunt statement about us not being in the running. with us not really having much of a team as i've seen so far, its gonna be tough. oukr distance guys should score some points but track is a different sport. i beat hruch in every race i went against him in xc but i doubt that'll happen at all in the 800.
oh and colin, what does a gf gotta do with a running forum. im still friends with BL but yea, who cares on here? havent talked to arthur or clint much since then...hmmm, hows everyone doing?
arthur, GET A LOG IN!!!!!, i know you read this so just make one and like make fun of people or w/e. do it, thats an order, period.
colins gonna go down this season, oh yes

Last year it took 100 points to win the county championship, and the question becomes where can a team get those points to win this year.
There is only 13 events indoors, and I have always found that especially indoors, it is middle distance heavy. You have 3 field events (HJ, SP, PV), you have 3 pure sprint events (55, 300, 4x200) and 2 pure distance events (1600, 3200), but middle distance, a strong program could grab a lot of points (4x800, 4x400, 500, 800).
There will be questions for every program - will Liberty be able to replace Brad Williams points lost, Will any of the FSK distance boys be able to move down into the middle distance events, etc.
Some things I noticed based on last year's results (a lot has changed since then, including new faces):
Sprints - Issa Connell (NC) and Theron Johnson (Century) seem to be the class of the returning sprinters. NC also has the #3 returning sprinter from counties last year.
Jumps - Outside of Nick Hruch (Liberty) a lot of points could be up for grabs.
Throws - Century and Winters Mill seem to have traditionally had a good strangle hold on a number of points in these events. Century had 3 in the top 8 last year with Winters Mill having 3 of the top 9. The other three were two from NC and one from Westminster
Pole Vault - Adami is the class of the field heading into the season. Outdoor season saw the emergence of a number of vaulters from Westminster and Liberty
Long Distance - FSK from XC certainly has shown to be the strongest suiters for these points, but there is a lot of individuals that could steal points away - Sisler, Liberatore, SC boys, Dawson, etc. A lot of contenders for just two events.
Middle Distance - Century and Liberty have a lot coming back. Hruch-Liberatore-Dawson were top 3 in the county in the 800 last year. 4x800 teams from both schools should be good. 500-4x400 could be big events.
Given this, North Carroll certainly could be a tough team. They have strengths in the field (especially if Adami does High Jump along with Pole Vault, he is clearly the #2 returning high jumper, only guy besides Hruch to clear 6 feet in the county -- 6'2" PR). They have the top sprinter, and have two very good relays (4x2 and 4x4) as well as throwers. Their distance runners definitely improved last year too. I would say they are the most balanced team of any team.

FSK: Boys are a strong team this year
This year Key does not have as much dept in there team again and with the loss of all County Brad Martz and Josh Cole could wynd up costly for key in indoor track this season, But it could get rebounded by Shane Craig and we have some jumpers that could do good bye the countie meet. We still have no pol vaulters this year again well we do but they don't score any points for us. The 4X200 and the 4X100 key could score tons of points in that area
3200:They have a bunch of people to pick from Jared Welsh, Arthur Leathers, Colin Fearns, Zach Holz, and Jordan White. But you can only put in two entries for regionals.
1600:Jared Welsh, Arthur Leathers, Colin Fearns, Zach Holz, and Jordan White, that could get mix up with Erick Libator, Jake Sissy pantz.
800: Colin Fearns, Arthur Leathers, Shane Craig, Taylor Dullie, Jesse Henderson. Matt Brown Will not be running anymore for indoor and outdoor but it wont hurt key. I don't think anyone in the countie could beat Nick Hruch his destroys in the 800.
4X800: Well this is going to be a hard on tho, we do have a very solid team in the 4X800 It is very possible that we could contend with Liberty This year as with Century

There is no 4x100 team indoors.
I know of AT LEAST one person that can challenge Nick Hruch in an 800 - Eric Liberatore. Remember, he handed off in the 4x800 at states with a solid 5 second+ lead, having build a lead of 3 seconds after the first lap. He often times had faster splits then Nick, and already gave a run for his money in our 800 time trial.
I could definitely see the top 4 guys in the county this year for the 800 being faster then the winning time from counties last year. The talent is there in this county.

well not to be conceited colin but i did come out of the dark during outdoor last outdoor season. i know were looking based on indoor stuff last year but you cant rule me out in the 800. 3rd in outdoor counties but yes that a totally different race than indoor.
why isnt martz from fsk doing indoor? i know cole was doing wrestling but it seems like your top guys are bailing on you.

Pole vultures Colin?
As much as I wasn't a fan of indoor, I'll be up to a meet or 2. The distance races, especially the 800, are more fun to watch than outdoor.
Good luck to everyone as you open your season.

Westminster has The Domination over hurdles, A good pole vaulter that wen't to states last year our 4X8 shouldn't be bad seeming that we only lost kelvey. I'm not saying we're gonna win or anything but maybe 3rd it's in the reach i think.

Well yesterday FSK had Time Trials and the distance boys had two run a 1600, and a 800. we had about five minutes rest. Oh Jared and Arthur did not run this they are not off there break yet. Jordan White, Shane Craig, and Zack Holz came back from there break. It was a really bad day to do time trials it was freezing and 35 mile an hour winds. We had some new runners come out and run about 5:45 really good for freshman but i forgot there names and SO i don't know. Colin Fearns----- 5:03---- 2:23 Shane Craig ---- 5:10---- 2:26 Jordan White---- 5:20---- 2:35 Jesse Henderdson---- 5:33---- 2:25 Zach Holz---- 5:35---- These times aren't really good or really bad if you know what i mean. But from these time i think we will have a very solid 800, 1600 runners this year, i am not sure who will be good for key in the 3200 but Jared, Arthur, and Colin have taken the Top three spots so far. These are the only ones that i remember right know I'll get back to you with the other people. Jake not to be mean i don't think it will matter really people are stepping it up in the 800 for key and other teams in the county, so i think you are going to be out of luck bud. But hey you have the 1600 to do better, and you suck at running you little girl hahahahahahahahahahahaha. Oh yea and your going down this season. Oh yea Becky and Shane are friends with benefits, they say they are not going out but we think they are. You jealous you Should be hahaha. Martz says he is doing indoor but he has not came to practice yet, and so you would think he is not coming out for the team but i talk to him and he said he is coming out this Wednesday and so we will see if he does. If he does he will win the 100, 200, 4x100 4x200 oops i forgot that is no 4x100 in indoor track. I Don't want to sound like a jerk but this is what i think For the Long distance- i think the only people that could steal points, would be Liberatore, Sisler, and maybe Dulany But this is only for the 1600 though. i don't think any one can beat us in the 3200, the only person who could is Andrew Cross from Liberty, Rob Kelvey from Westminster. But Liberty will score top two in the 800 and win the 4x800 and take the high jump and maybe some of the sprinting events, the hurdles. Who will be long Jumping for you guys since Brad Williams is not doing Indoor this year. I agree with that Westminster has really good hurdlers, and Pole Vaulters, and has a descent 4x800 team but that wont get them 3rd place it will get you guys forth place, i think that North Carroll will get 3rd place by far, but i think it is possible that Westminster could get 3rd place if North Carroll died ha ha just joking about that you could pull it out you guys did it at counties last year.

There is no Long Jump Indoors. there is also no 100 or 200 - they have the 55 and 300.
Issa Connell is the top returning running the 55 and 300 - and he will be hard to beat in those events. I think Theoron Johnson has the best shot - he did consistently beat Martz.
Sisler has a definite shot in the 800. He is one of four guys in the county to run Sub 2:05 (and not in a relay, too many times people say they ran something in a relay and they didn't).
I would say that NC has a great shot at the 4x200. When you have guys like Connell and Hamilton - two of the top 3 returning runners in the 55, and the top 2 returning runners in the 300 - your going to have a good team. They also had an awesome 4x400 team, but their sprinters just seemed to run out of gas at the end of last year. They were incredible during the indoor season, and they have a great coach too.
Pole Vaulting - That is Adami's ground. There are a number of vaulters that could fill in to get points - from Liberty, SC, Century, Winters Mill and maybe even another NC runner.
Note: North Carroll has the most returning scorers from a year ago - they have 9. The next most is 6 by 3 schools (FSK, Liberty and Century). This doesn't count relays. Given that, and they may be the most balanced team in the county (#1 runner in the 55, 300, 2 returning sprinters in the 55 and 300, outstanding 4x2 and 4x4, #1 vaulter, #2 high jumper, a couple distance runners that can score and you shouldn't sleep on and always have throwers) - I don't think your giving them enough credit. They finished 2nd in the county last year indoors.
Just remember, indoors is a lot different then outdoors. Different events leads to a different champion.

35 mph winds.......cough*lier*cough
colin not to put you down once AGAIN but those time trial times even considering the weather aren't that great. dulaney and i both ran 5:03 in our time trial the first day back from the break and i didnt run at all so i was totally outa shape. as for the 800, im GOING to school your a**. i realize some people have stepped it up but they actually have to DO IT in competition for me to believe them.
jus because martz is running doesnt mean hes going to win flat out. people have trained during the off season and i think hes gonna have a tougher time competing this year.
for the 4 x 800 i believe that westminster will place better. returning 3 of our guys and i really believe in this new freshman. im aiming for low to mid 8:20's by the end of indoor if everyone stays healthy and doesn't pull a josh vana at the first meet.
