In indoor it's either 2a3a or 1a2a (they only have 3 classifications in indoor track compared to 4 in outdoor and cross country). I would only assume that you mean 1a2a.
As for predictions, outside of Carroll County, for the boys the strong teams look to be Brunswick and Smithsburg. I think Carroll teams have a good shot against them if things go well. On the girls side, defending champs Poolesville will be tough, Williamsport also, but I think that a couple schools in the county have the weapons to put up point to contend.
Should be a lot of carroll athletes qualifying for states and winning regional titles. I thought about starting a poll with who everybody thought had the best shot at winning states (not as a team, in an event), but the list really would be long cause a lot of kids have a shot this year. Hopefully Carroll can bring a bunch home.

Well, Here are some of the top times. Dustin Adams of Clear Spring ran a 10:04 at MVALs (winning by 20 seconds). Mike Lilley of Williamsport ran a 10:10 at a couple meets this year. You and Arther have both been sub 10:40 this year, and their are a number of other guys that have run sub 11 this year. Should be a number of guys qualifying on time once again from the region in the 3200, but probably not nearly as many as last year (last year was rediculous).

Well Arther and I have been running faster times 10:40 the past coulple of meets, plus we doubled up too. But i wont be running the mile at regionals just the 4x800 and the 2 mile and so i think i have a pretty good chance to win the 3200 this year.

Colin - that's what sub 10:40 means, haha.
the 3200 should definitely be a good race. Everybody should be going in fresh. I am pretty sure Mike Lilley of Williamsport will run the 3200 fresh. I know he is one of the top contenders to win the state championship and I know that's his goal. Dustin Adams of Clear Spring always runs the 3200 fresh. My bet is that the winner will run faster then the winning time from last year - possibly even faster then the winner from the state championships too. Just a lot of fresh bodies for that event.
Colin - rumor had it that Becky may not be running at regionals. Is their truth to that rumor?

Yup Becky went to a boarding school, Cuz better soccer team and track team there. But yea. and so she does not go the FSK anymore. My bad on the sub 10:40 I'm not awake yet, lol. But I'm just telling you I'm going all out on that 3200 meter run, i wont be fresh but it will be enough for me to take the gold hopefully, I'm not saying I'm going to win but thats my goal. how are you guys looking in regionals you think you can win it. What was the wining time last year in the 3200?

What school does she go to now? I want to keep an eye out for how she continues to do.
Winning time was 9:56 last year - something 3 or 4 runners in this region can definitely run. Should be a great race.
I have no idea what to expect from Andrew in that race either. He has made such a remarkable comeback, and now he is actually getting good workouts in cause he can train full time. A lot of what he is doing may not pay off till outdoor, or maybe it will. He is amazing anyways.
How do we look, I definitely like the team I'm taking. Everybody has to be healthy and run great races obviously. I believe we have a few people that can win regional titles, and have a couple events that we can score multiple people in, and that's the kind of thing it takes to win the regional championship. The one thing I believe about this region this year, on the guys side at least, the winning team may not score in the most events (at least the top 4 or 5 teams may only score in 6 to 8 events). We have an inner-squad meet today (Battle of the Sexes!) that will help us see where we're at. I can definitely see some athletes are ready to break out. And I think we finally got rid of all the kids with bronchitus. Still some sick, but better then bronchitus.
How about you Colin - how do you like your team's chances?

Well i hope Andrew makes it to states he has been doing awesome he deserves to make it to states, he has done so well this year, i like to see him go to states this year.
Coach- i don't think we will make it in the top 5 at regionals as a team in big meets we suck so bad, its the truth I'm not trying to be mean or anything like that but yea i guess we will have to see.
See you at regionals...i don't remember what school Becky goes to know but ill find it out as soon as i can.
Who won the 3200 last year?

Jake, how is your running coming? You have a little longer till your regional championships. Do you all have any meet between mvals and regionals (how long a gap is that for you?)

If she went to St. Timothy's, they have no running programs but do have a fall soccer team and a winter indoor soccer team.
The fall soccer team is a member of the C conference in the IAAM. They went 7-3-3 this year.

My running has been pretty repressed this winter. when i haven't had pneumonia i've had constant colds, etc. i blame my flu shot! Anyway, im hoping to feel better soon and take advantage of the next 3 weeks or so for regionals. im working on getting in some distance since my base has been pretty much destroyed. we've been working on different types of speed workouts which should help. Brendan's recent performaces have inspired me to work a lot harder and possibly re-think my events. for regionals i am entered in the 1600, 800, and 4x800 so its basically my norm. my 4:54 at counties wasnt that great but im not really scared of being too slow since i did get 4:50 at the first indoor meet this year. so yea theres my rambling about my lack-luster season haha. good luck to everone else!
yea st. tim's just has soccer for becky. she really doesn't like track so shes psyched for soccer.
200th post woop woop!
