I just updated the Meet Schedule link above with the county teams schedules. There may still be a few things that will get changed (like I know Winters Mill and Liberty both have one meet they are still figuring out). Also Linganore and Urbana have not posted their schedules yet, so there may be a few meets that they are attending but aren't marked yet for. Here is a quick link to that schedule (results will be posted as the meets happen on here too): www.carrollcountyrunning.com/Results/2008OutdoorSchedule.htm

It's going to be Winters Mill and Liberty for the win. At this point it comes down to who can place more in different events. It will be interesting losing Ways, but in return we gain Ryan Spangler, one of the top freshman in the state in XC. he'll only add to our mid-d/ distance team. I wouldn't completely count out SC, I think they'll pull something out. Hopefully Jake can break key's distance dynasty in the mile and 2 mile.

Well check this out:
The last 4 indoor and outdoor Men's County Champions:
2008 Indoor Champs - Winters Mill 2007 OUtdoor Champs - North Carroll 2007 Indoor Champs - Liberty & Century 2006 Outdoor Champs - FSK & Westminster
6 of the 7 county teams have had a county title without anybody having won 2 (Liberty won the 2006 Indoor champs).
I know Liberty has a ton of kids coming out, and Eric Liberatore is considering it. They will hve more depth then indoor - but it will be a great season for this county all over, and I think this could be a very close meet pending who everybody picks up for the outdoor season.

Interesting. If Brad Martz is doing track that will make it interesting. FSK has three good sprinters, great distance and that high jumper. Could add up to some points. FSK might just be a team to look out for.

FSK adds Zach Holz outdoors too. Will they get the addition of their star freshman from xc? I figured he didn't run indoors because of swimming, but I have known a number of swimmers that have taken off the winter but were able to do the outdoor season (Kate Hursey did this before her senior year)

In response to results... I have been a little busier then I had hoped, and havent had a chance to get as much of this done as I had hoped. But I have been able to get some of this done, and will be able to get a lot more done over the next couple weeks. (might be able to get a good bulk of the old Outdoor County championship results!) Here is the results page that is a work in progress: www.carrollcountyrunning.com/Results/You can get to the 2007 results on that. Note: Not all the links on the top menu bar work yet. I haven't created the home page or the records page (although a lot of pages for records have been created, I just haven't created a page with links to all these records). I am slowly getting all that stuff up too.

Very interesting. For all you who care i have just found out that Winters Mill might be missing sophomore Jim Kelly for the outdoor season becuase of a hip problem.

well if martz is doing outdoor then i have to reconsider fsk as a contender because he's got 100/200 winning potential assuming he's recovered from the acl tear from last year.
and i don't think north carroll is going to be terrible (they have some good athletes), i just think they don't have the all around depth or the strong depth in a particular area to win counties like they had in field and sprints last year.
